Volunteering at the John P. Craine House

The Craine House is an alternative sentencing program for women who have been convicted of non-violent offenses and are parents of small children. With the support of the local community, the Craine House helps these women by giving them a safe place to live while they finish their education, get jobs and learn to support themselves and their children, and do community service work. The recidivism rate for these mothers is far below the national average and they learn important life skills that will help their children to not grow up in broken homes.
